The technology giant Allstate is negotiating the modalities for moving into a new 850-seat flagship office block in Derry in Ireland. Additionally, this will be a purpose-built structure.

The dimensions of the company

The company is an IT inward investor in Northern Ireland. Moreover, it has also identified a site at Ebrington, and the plan is to build it within three years.

The aim of this ambitious move is to consolidate the operations in the North West, where it has 800 employees already at sites in Northland Road Derry and also in Strabane.

The existing office in the city will probably close after the new arrangement. Additionally, the Strabane facility will not close. There will be an addition of many new jobs to the present payroll that has 2,100 employees.

The company did not disclose the exact details of the relocation. Moreover, a spokesman has confirmed that a real estate team in the US is presently talking with the developers regarding the creation of the Derry hub.

Allstate runs at maximum capacity in Derry and has a top speed in organic growth. It has hired 100 places at the building in Catalyst Science Park for easing the present capacity problem.

The project involved refurbishment of the towpath extensively, boat marina and also a restaurant.
